Raised in Ekan-Nla, Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara State, Mayowa grew up in a disciplined polygamous household as the last male child. Following the passing of their father in 2002 while Mayowa was in Primary 4, his mother single-handedly nurtured and guided her children with unwavering fortitude, instilling a profound work ethic shared alongside his brother Stephen Omotosho and junior sister Temitope.

Mayowa is happily married to Pelumi Christianah Omotosho, and their union is blessed with a son, Raphael Akorede Mayowa.
